News & Bugs in Version 6.2 |
SF Pressure Drop was produced carefully. But no computer software is without bugs. Please inform me if you find bugs.
In these updates we will consider suggestions from the users and/or correct bugs quickly. Here you will find the revised program file (exe-file) and other files possibly. Before you use this file please install the version 6.2 normally and replace the old program file "Drop6.exe" with the new file afterwords. If there are updates from other files, please replace these files also.

Bug is removed in version 7.0. |

Wrong calculation of pipe volume/filling time of corrugated pipes and other-form-pipes Please don't calculate the volume or filling time of these pipes. The calculation of other pipes is ok. |

Auto-Upgrade-Function Option to check for program upgrades when starting the software and automatic installation of upgrades. |
Enlargement of the circular pipe database with several EN, ISO and DIN standards.
Calculation of liquid refrigerants Calculation of properties of liquid refrigerants (Glycol, Glycerol, Ethanol...) at different temperatures and concentrations. |
Improved calculation of air properties |

Quick Pump Design Bug in the conversion of the vapor pressure units psia, psig, Pa, MPa and mm WS. So the NPSH calculation is wrong if you use these units. The same bug is existing in the "discharge calculation/constant liquid level" if you are calculating the overpressure with the unit psi. |
6.252 28.11.2006 |
Resistance coefficient database selects rectangular instead of circular element If you want copy data from resistance coefficient database to the main window, the program selects rectangular instead circular element. So it was not possible to copy the data. |

In some dialog windows the buttons are not visible in the windows "Channel calculation/design", "discharge calculations" and "orifice desing" the buttons at the bottom of the window are not visible. This bug is in version 6.25 available only, previous versions are ok. |

New pipe elements - Resistance coefficient for rectangular elements - Dynamic pressure changes (calculation of static pressure changes in enlargements and contractions caused by changes of kinetic energy). |
Enhancement of the function "Change table" Modification and new calculation of calculation table now for circular and rectangular pipe elements. |
Debugging Correction of small bugs without any effects on calculation results. |

Printscreen-Function The following windows have now a printscreeen function: Orifice design, Channel calculation/design and Discharge calculations. |
Orifice design with big "required pressure drop" The calculation wasn't possible with big pressure difference. |
New Popup Menus in English The Popup Menus (right mouse button) were in German, now are all in English. |
Error in the copy function of Quick Pump Design: The copy (button copy data) shows the volume flow, density and viscosity from the main window, it doesn't show the volume flow, density and viscosity you have calculated.
Orifice-design: Input of volume flow in Normal-m³ The units Nm³/h, Nm³/min and Nm³/s shouldn't appear in this window because the data for conversion to working-m³ (pressure, temperature) are not availabe in this window. Please don't use these units in this window. |
Branching pipes: Pressure drop of branching pipe at non-metrical output The pressure drop of the branching pipe is shown instead in lbw./sq.ft. in mbar. |
6.22 20.06.2005 |
Error in the printout of Quick Pump Design: The printout shows the volume flow, density and viscosity from the main window, it doesn't show the volume flow, density and viscosity you have calculated.
6.21 24.04.2005 |
Branch flowing element: Calculation of a to high pressure drop in branching pipe if you input the flow as Nm³ |
Incorrect function of the Menu "Settings", if the table contains calculations If calculations are existing in the table and you use the Menu "Settings" (example "Number of decimal places"), the software converts the units within the table to US units (or metric units). You will see ft. (or m) in the table. |
